Jim Reynolds is the Chief Financial Officer at Excel Wealth Management, where he leads client engagement efforts—welcoming new relationships while providing dedicated service and support to existing clients. With extensive experience in the retirement plan sector, Jim is known for his deep expertise and practical approach to plan design and logistic management.
Before joining Excel, Jim spent over two decades with the nation’s largest 401(k) recordkeeping firm. During his tenure, he held various roles including Regional Sales Manager and 401k Wholesaler. His work involved consulting on and implementing thousands of corporate retirement plans, giving him a comprehensive understanding of plan design and administration. Jim is highly skilled at aligning employer and employee retirement goals, always with a client-first mindset.
He currently holds the Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant (ARPC) designation and earned his degree in Business Management. His professional philosophy centers around the seamless integration of sales and service—believing that true client success comes from building trusted, long-term relationships.
Earlier in his career, Jim worked in the education technology sector with the first online university, helping institutions implement platforms to support remote learning. His interest in education also led him to work with colleges and universities across the U.S. to develop interest-free payment plans for students, further highlighting his commitment to accessible financial solutions.
Originally from Rhode Island, Jim has lived in Woodstock, Connecticut for the past 17 years with his family and pets. He is deeply involved in his local community, having coached youth basketball and softball for over 17 years. He also serves as Director of a local nonprofit focused on reducing or eliminating educational program costs for students.
